Obsolete? Why? It is in my opinion the best tool for native win32 development. Nice community, lots of third party components. The devolopment with the VCL framework is really nice. I used to do native development with visual C++ 6 and MFC and that was just horrible compared to Delphi!

It's still the best language for Win32 apps. No fuss, no runtime, just EXEs. I do my web programming in C#, but when I need a quick utility, I fire up good ol' Delphi. No prerequisites. It will run on any windows platform. Great for thumb drive apps.

Ugh, I hated VCL when used with Borland C++. It made it so easy to do really bad things to Windows.
Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

lol, kinda ... the screenshots say enough. http://www.codegear.com/Portals/0/images/win32screen2large.jpg[^] You can't come up with something like that. Yes it supports the new small window preview, but the screen itself is still ugly as if there hasn't been any improvement since windows 95.
