My sympathies go out to those of you who have family or know somebody who lives in the Tornado hit areas.

Indeed. I live in Xenia Ohio[^], which has experience with tornadoes, so I can empathize.

The high school that got hit use to be our #1 rivals during my high school days.

Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.

Mine too, the worst problem we have in the UK is a tree or two blown over.

My dad's entire family (5 siblings, mom, and their families) all live within a few blocks of the high school that was hit. So far as I've heard they're all ok, thankfully.

There's been quite a bit of damage here in Columbus, Ga (southwest Georgia, right near the Alabama border). I drove down here last night for a morning meeting today, and it was the worst weather I've ever driven in. The rain was coming down so hard, and the wind was blowing so hard that it actually bent my windshield wipers downward. The drive down, which usually takes about 1:45 took over 3 hours. There were patches on I-85 and I-185 where I wasn't going more than 10 mph (speed limit is 70mph). I don't believe there have been any deaths due to the storm here in Columbus. One of the guys I work with said his wife left a bank that got leveled by a tornado about 5 minutes before it hit. A number of people at work had moderate to severe damage to their houses. Very scary stuff...

It is really sending chill down the spine; the way tornadoes uproot the entire area. Even one TSunami in India, we could'nt actually bear it. Our experience was really bitter as I have blogged here: http://deepak.blogdrive.com/archive/92.html[^]
