I am needing some type of software that will record my action on my computer and save it to a wmv or some movie format that Windows Media Player supports. I am having an issue with some else who claims I keep preforming a set of steps incorrectly. Yall know of anything?

If you just need to do one-off, or a few, Wink[^] does this, is free, and will even create an EXE to make it easier to distribute. For more bells and whistles, Camtasia is definitely it.

If you're running Vista it has a screen grab utility built-in. ;P Regards,

Out of all possible choices, why would anyone pick something that actually has a "Getting started" manual? Leave it to the guys at MS to make you do all the work. :)

After what I've been hearing about Vista lately, I doubt that it works very well. But if it does, I'd like to know. Anyone running Vista?:-D

:-D I wish that was funny. I've known the codec was there for years but I just tried it yesterday before I posted here. Of course, in true MS fashion, it failed the first time with an error message like "Input Format Invalid". Thanks, I was never given the chance to change any "input format". As usual, a quick google search, skim the "Getting started" manual for clues, and I get it to work, 20 minutes later. I guess most Windows programmers know that drill :) Cheers! Mark
