And in the latest Cricket World Cup news rain has interrupted the Scotland vs. South Africa match. Scotland made 186 for 8 in their alloted 50 overs. South Africa were at 147 for 1 after 19 overs. The umpires are currently calculating the result using the Fuck Worth Loose With rain rules. It is expected that Scotland will be adjudged to have won by one run. South Africa loose to rain again... Scorecard[^]. ;) (*sigh* I wish more CPians would get the joke, however poor it is.)

regards, Paul Watson Ireland & South Africa

Yeah, and those who don't get the joke'd think you can't spell correctly (or that you mix up words with similar spelling easily) :-)

Why on earth would rain bother crickets? I don't get it... Just leave the crickets alone and they will work it out. :-D

Oh crickets are very sensitive. Rain affects them, low light affects them, even birds on the grass affects them. Got to have perfect conditions for crickets eh.

:) You cleaned them up in 23 overs. Just goes to show how poor the duckworth system is.

System.IO.Path.IsPathRooted() does not behave as I would expect

hehe, yeah our boys did good. Though it looks like our batters are a class above our bowlers so far. Shouldn't have let Scotland get to 186. Shouldn't have let them get to 50 overs even. I was joking though, I doubt even the Duckworth system would have raped us that badly. Plus AFAIK after the last Duckworth debacle with South Africa they changed the system.

No Paul,DuckWorth -Lewis System is same. After the SA debacle people are showing the PAR score and the winning score more prominently on the scoreboards, which was lacking in Durban's scoreboard back in 2003. And SA's score of 147 for 1 is enough to win the match ,the only catch being it constitutes a match only if both teams face minimum 20 overs each..
