Autonomous RC Car - II
-
Hey guys, A few weeks ago, I built an autonomous RC car which used a webcam and a laser pointer for obstacle detection. Based on the position of the laser dot in the camera's field of view, the computer determined how far obstacles were. At that time, I didn't have a wireless camera. I've re-made that car..this time using a wireless webcam! Check it out: http://ashishrd.blogspot.com/2007/03/autonomous-rc-car-ii-with-wireless.html[^] Hope you like it :) Ashish

Neat! You gotta get yourself an LCD monitor though - I presume you work at night a lot - and CRTs can be quite bad for your eyes.

It's night in India now, and you are online. So unless you post to online forums in your sleep, you've got to be awake now.

That's terrific! What do you use for radio communication between the PC and the car?

The car's controller. :) The computer is using the car's controller for communicating with the car. Check out this post: http://ashishrd.blogspot.com/2007/02/computer-controlled-rc-car.html[^] Ashish
