Listening to the radio today, and apparently Sky News has done a survey, and has determined that people who listen Heavy Metal are more intelligent, than other music groups. Now I grew up on a Heavy Diet of Metallica, Slayer, AcDc, Sodom, Kreator, Megadeth, Anthrax etc. How Come I decided to become a Computer PRogrammer?

    Kind Regards, Gary

There is another study claiming that people listening to heavy metal have a so disturbed mind that they are not able to paste a link properly ;P OK it has been modified, so my post makes no sense anymore.

Maybe you were to deaf to hear people trying to talk you out of becoming a programmer. BTW, I listened to the heavy metal of the 70's and 80's. Led Zeplin, the Who, Van Halen, etc.

Marty Friedman was THE best guitarist. Too bad he's not with Megadeth anylonger. :(

How can a person who bangs his head be considered intelligent?

Apparently it contributes to eliminating the "bad" cells such that the pack can move more fluidly. Same principle as in the wild. A pack/herd is only as quick as its slowest member. So, the banging of one's head provides the opportunity to eliminate the slow cells such that the pack can move quicker. Faster processing of information leads to more intelligence. Does that clarify it?

                                          This statement was never false.
