    Hey guys.. Having 5 Cameras recording 24/24 .and storing data on a linux (suse O/S) I would like to know if there is a module or software to compress/archive the recorded data on linux (suse) as well as win xp

      Use xvid in an avi-container. That should work on both systems.

        Can you be more presiced plz? Note : the software of the camera simply records with AVI format
