It's just WPF with a new flashy name. I thought the normal tactic was to use a flashy name during development, then replace it with a dull acronym when it got released?

"Microsoft Silverlight, previously called Windows® Presentation Foundation Everywhere (WPF/E), integrates with existing Web technologies and assets to provide higher-quality experiences with lower costs for media delivery." Great, more technology I'll never use.
