What are they made of? I thought silicon as there pretty squishy. Anyone have any ideas? The exact ingredients would help as I would like to make a mold from that material so I will need to purchase the precise chemicals.. Cheers :)

I'm finding the only constant in software development is change it self.

I don't know what they're made of but I've never heard anything good about them.

eh? They are excellent seats. Then again, make sure you get a good brand. Anything good can be made crap with enough applied indifference. My next seat (arrives 3 weeks) will be a Specialized Toupe Gel. Can't wait.

Toupe Gel, eh? Is that regular, or "Extra Hold"?

I always heard that the numbness problem is ten times worse with a gel seat because the gel can pinch up whereas the hard seats if they are fitted properly can't cause that particular problem.

No - that's not actually possible. There's not enough gel for it to move around enough to pinch. It's merely padding that moulds a little bit. Here's a pic[^]

Ahh..that's not at all what I pictured. I'm thinking of the big fat plushy ones, not the performance ones.
