I'd never heard people in Canada do the 'eh' thing until this last trip, and then, I heard lots of people do it. I'd heard people joke about it, but not actually heard it said 'in the wild'.

I recently worked with a Candian developer that was taking time out from work to travel through the Americas. When I quizzed him more closely on his route, it was pretty much from the southern tip all the way up to the Mexico / USA border. He was then going to catch a plane and fly over the USA and tour around Canada. Doesn't sound so stupid to me! Ian Partridge

So, Canadians are not Americans? IMO, anyone who lives in North or South America is an "American." As a citizen of the U.S.A. citizen, I personally dislike the common misassociation of American with the U.S.A., for the reason I mentioned above. But, I suppose I'm in the minority... (This is one of my pet peeves.:mad:) As for stupidity, I this that the percentage of stupid people is pretty much the same worldwide. Now, as for ignorant people, that varies widely.
