Top Windows Vista Designer Divorces Microsoft[^]. "Hoek's divorce from the Redmond Company adds yet another name to the long list of people that were involved in the development of Windows Vista and that have left following the operating system's availability."

I would be curious who these people are, and how senior they were at MS. Or is this just more of the same bogus IT news writing at work?

Hmm, I see they mentioned Jenny Lam. Well based on this: http://www.istartedsomething.com/20070402/jenny-lam-leaves/[^] I'd say "Good Riddance and Thanks for all The Fish!" Gag, after using Vista, seeing something like the NeXT is so soothing... :) Of course, until you have to develop under it.

It's pretty common at Microsoft to have a series of job jumping both inside and outside the company after something ships. Especially when it takes 5+ years. Still, between Hoek, Jenny Lam and Hillel Cooperman, it's interesting, as these three were the face of the new Vista UI, and (in the case of Hoek) the UMPC. Makes you wonder if they were as much departures as pushes (as was the case with Allchin).

Of course. Doesn't everyone have emotional connections like me?
