Craigs List scams

Well Ive had a car listed on Craigs List for 3 weeks now and Ive already gotten a scam attempt emailed to me. And I quote.
how are you doing today ?......Thanks for your quick response towards my mail i and i can see the car is still very much okey except for what you stated that needs repair however i'm still very much interested in having it also i'll be handling the shipping and my form of payment woud be through a certified bank check pls get back to me to know your thoughts towards this so we can proceed.You have to love that. :mad:

There's a bunch of scams going on that involve so-called "certified" or "cashiers" checks. They look real enough, but when the bank that actually has to hand over the money figures out that it's a fake check, they'll get their money back from your bank, then your bank will take it out of your wallet.

He can have the car AFTER the bank the funds are drawn on accepts the check. There's a bunch of scams going on that involve so-called "certified" or "cashiers" checks. They look real enough, but when the bank that actually has to hand over the money figures out that it's a fake check, they'll get their money back from your bank, then your bank will take it out of your wallet.
