    Can anyone tell me the default value for the Start Page URL? I installed client tools for SQL 2005 and it overwrote the value with SQL developer stuff. Thanks.

      It can actually point at any RSS feed, but I think the default is http://msdn.microsoft.com/rss.xml.

          I have VS start with "Show empty environment", Start page news channel says http://msdn.microsoft.com/sql/rss.xml
