Some adveritisers seem to think the same way: "Let's start our ad with a really loud noise, so that people who are watching a quiet, thoughtful movie will immediately rush out and buy our product!" You can get people's attention by poking them in the eye with a sharp stick, but it might not make them like you too much.

''Well, the methodology is in great demand by the Americans and in Europe it's worth billions of dollars,'' the scientist said. ''We have had kidnap threats, so we can only go public when our security is guaranteed''.
