Poll: This morning I was again plugging in a bunch of devices on my laptop. 1. Screen, 2. Mouse, 3. Usb drive, 4. Network cable, 5. Battery feed. I was wondering, what do you plug-in every day in your laptop, before starting the day?

I plug in one or more of the following: power cable, network, earphones. Sometimes I start out the day working on battery power, and sometimes I work on AC power; sometimes I start out without connecting to the internet, and sometimes I connect first thing; sometimes I listen to music in earphones while working, and sometimes I don't listen to any or I listen to it on the built-in speakers. When I get a wireless access point finally, I won't need the network cable.

When I used to do support, I would use the power cable and the network cable. I hate mice and when I use laptops, I find a touchpad far more comfortable than a mouse.

        Cheers, Vıkram.

I'm the opposite; I find the touchpad annoying. My husband has worn his touchpad to the bare metal in some spots.

My routine used to be similar, but now I have a docking station. So I have the screen, mouse, power supply, network cable all at the back of the station so I don't have to touch a thing when I come in :) Now I also have: . iPod usb cable . Sony Ericsson sync/charger usb cable . Earphones. Sweet.

I plug the laptop into the docking station. I get keyboard, mouse, monitors, ethernet, and power in one simple connection.

The same things: Screen, mouse, network, wall juice, and the usb drive occasionally.
