What makes you think we aren't in the Matrix right now?

Trinity: Neo... nobody has ever done this before. Neo: That's why it's going to work.

Because if we were, the system would not allow us to become aware of the possibility.

What do you think the future will be like if we keep our current heading? Could it be a Terminator story line that moves us into a Matrix reality. or Lost in Space or Star Track (or Galaxy Quest) story line or are we in a Star Wars story and don't know it yet. Star Wars would be nice but I think it will be more like the movie 1984

I dunno I keep expecting some kind of Outer Limits twist towards the end... Either that or Soylent Green...

You know, everytime I think I have this private weird history of watching marginal b-movies, sci fi or otherwise, I get reminded that there's a whole bunch of other people who think the same way and enjoy the same things. :-) this is one of the big reasons I love being part of The Code Project. Plan 9 from outerspace anyone? Omega man?

:omg: Plan 9: Zombies meet Sci-Fi in California. Soylent Green - now that's a blast from my personal past, and actually one of my husband's oft-quoted flicks. And how can you not like a movie with Charleton Heston and Chuck Conners set in the future, even if "Soylent Green is people"?

Caffeine - it's what's for breakfast! (and lunch, and dinner, and...)

My vote is for the Thirteenth floor[^]. Where virtual reality becomes a plaything to do the crimes you can't in the real-world. All the crimes get perpetrated on virtual characters rather than real ones. Have your cake and eat it too for the criminally insane.
