No. The few Mac users that I personally know, could really care less about Vista...

ive have herd a lot of mac users praising vista as the best Microsoft os, but all i herd is complaints from other pc users. even in podcasts like TWIT its very easy to see the pc people hate vista and the mac people love it i haven't tried vista yet, i can afford a new computer.

Are they praising it or just saying it's the best MS OS? They might still hate it! I've not yet used Vista, so I can't really comment. But it does seem to have caused a lot more dislike from PC techies than XP did.

and those that do care, are not Mac Users, but MS-Haters more than likely. If you like something, you generally don't mind if someone else loves or hates something else, it doesn't affect you. but if the only reason you are on a platform is because you hate another, then you have to continue harping on the other to justify your position. :) All the Mac users I know could care less about either Linux or Vista, or even XP. They are where they want to be and quite happy. Ironically, all the Linux users I know spend all day complaining about XP and Vista, at least between repairing their Linux machines... R&D takes its toll on OSes.

I'm leaning that direction as well.

Same here. Especially a laptop. I've never had a laptop power cord that didn't get too loose. Using a magnet is such a great idea. I'm sold on that alone.

Do it, do it!!! I did, and I've no regrets about it.

The idea of using something that actually seems to work, and something that is different under the hood is very enticing indeed (maybe I'll pick up programming at home again). I also like the simplicity of Unix, so I'm thinking it could be a very good match. I'll keep my XP license around for dual boot (I must be able to play Unreal Tournament '99 ;P)
