this is really killing, in india, this time most (almost 90%) of them cannot c the world cup matches. some company (10 sports)has taken the relaying rights and no cable operator in my city (bangalore) is providing that channel. i really dont know what to do. Hey nish, whats up in trivandrum

We in bangalore will be able to catch live transmissions of all the matches thru Siticable, a local cable provider...and real lucky with that too. The latest I heard was that DD would only telecast the semis and the final(Boo!) For millions of football fans around India who do not have cable, this is a real blow and I really wish the stupid channel a******* got their thing together. A sports channel that doesn't telecast the world cup, is not fit to be around, whatever reasons may there be. But then Star and ESPN are bumming out too. Anyway, I'm supporting Brazil( not the underdogs this time!)..but then am game for any team that plays well. Expecting some spectacular stuff from Beckham,Zidane(hope he recovers real soon),Ronaldo, Rivaldo,Henry, Figo,R.Carlos etc etc. let the madness begin !! sonork: 100:18407

As the late great Bill Shankley said, Football isn't about life and death, it's more important than that. :-D Michael :-) Errata 1: p. 154, section 'Defusing'. For 'red wire' read 'blue wire'.

Best way, especially those with the large screens. Almost as good as being there. Of course, I dunno if I can afford to take the time of work to watch the England v Argentina game :(( Michael :-) Errata 1: p. 154, section 'Defusing'. For 'red wire' read 'blue wire'.

Before I think. The actual quote is "Football is not a matter of life and death, it's far more important than that" Michael :-) Errata 1: p. 154, section 'Defusing'. For 'red wire' read 'blue wire'.

I prefer De Coubertin's sentence: "The most important thing is not to win but to take part" :) Football is just a game (even if I pray for France victory :-D) We're talking shit, 'cause life is a 'biz You know it is Everybody tryin' to get rich God damn! I hope France does well too, even though I'm English being an Arsenal supporter I have a great respect for the French footballers at the club as well as our wonderful French manager. If things go like the pundits predict we could be looking at a France-England second round match. That'll be interesting. Michael :-) Errata 1: p. 154, section 'Defusing'. For 'red wire' read 'blue wire'.
