My conversation will be enriched now that I do, and anyone who doesn't understand me, is obviously a moron. Not that I finished college.

you mean you didn't know these at the start of your freshman year? I probably could've defined 80-90% of the list by 4th grade.

A good chunk of those words have to deal with biology, math, physics and literature. Most of those words we did cover in my high school so I think it is a good test. Do I use them in daily conversation? No. Confuses the locals.

Shoot, most of the college graduates that I work with would have a hard time even defining half of those words, much less using them correctly in a sentence!

"Euro" is a word many people graduating in the USA don't know? Crikey. I see they slipped "impeach" in there. Guess we know which side of the political divide wrote this list. "plagiarize" made me laugh. Ten bucks says the people who don't know the word sure know how to do it. And now my challenge, to all ye guttersnipes wot English use badly; List the letters of the alphabet not represented in the list (as used at the start of the word only.)

When I was last along the border (17 years ago) most tourist trap type businesses listed prices in both currencies. If a store clerk isn't alert or in a vending machine you can get away with using the others coins (when equivalent) but generally speaking you still have to change your currency since they aren't equal in value.

Smaller coins do tend to find their way into circulation though, just because they tend to be similar in both appearance and value. I've no idea how US currency is treated in Canada... presumably, it's horded and used for all the really important transactions... :rolleyes:
