I finally got my diploma from High School last night (it was even signed :) ). If anyone wants to visit my graduation party it is tommorrow from 2-5pm (GMT - 6) at my house! -:suss:Matt Newman / Windows XP Activist:suss: -Sonork ID: 100.11179
Could you Would you with a goat? - Dr SuessThe plane get's in at 4:30 - can you meet me at the airport or shall I get a taxi? :) Congratualtions, even though I have no idea what a diploma is in the UK system (your age makes it about the same age as we take our A-Levels here, is it similar?). Remember tomorrow is a Sunday, so despite the slight difference in legislation between our two countries - you should wake up thinking "where did Saturday go?" Wink wink, nudge nudge. ____________________ David Wulff hu·mour Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. & v. Chiefly British Dave's Code Project Screensaver and Wallpaper page.

There seems to be a lot of differences in educational systems around the world. Here we attend Kindergarten at about 5 or 6 years old, then 6 years of elementary school, followed by either 2 years Jr./ 4 years Sr. High School, or 3 years middle/3 years High School, for a total of 13 years. A diploma is issued upon completion of High School. University and college are generally interchangeable terms, though Unis tend to offer more selection. Both are comprised of multiple specialty schools that share a common admin department. Most programs require 4-5 years to complete, resulting in a BA or BS degree. Grad school follows leading to MA/MS degrees and PhDs. What's the path in the UK? "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Let's kill it." - Ed Gadziemski
