I love how they are using it as another excuse to blow themselves up. I should do a crazy muslim holidays of the week post: Monday: Knights of Rushdie--blow yourself up! Tuesday: Don't Touch That Day; someone complained that you won't ring up their bacon at the supermarket. Blow yourself up! Wednesday: Who Let the Dogs in Day; someone tried to bring a dirty dog into your cab. Blow yourself up! Thursday: Cartoons are Bad Day; someone drew a cartoon of mohammed and that Cathy is not subservient to her husband. Blow yourself up! Friday: Start Praying to a New G-d Day; your neighbors refuse to convert to Islam. Blow yourselves and the neighbors up! Saturday: You Still Alive Day? Didn't I command you to blow yourself up?

Mike The NYT - my leftist brochure. Calling an illegal alien an “undocumented immigrant” is like calling a drug dealer an “unlicensed pharmacist”. God doesn't believe in atheists, therefore they don't exist.

It is impossible to defend the indefensible. Pakistan has no rights whatsoever to dictate who can or who can't be awarded a British gong. Pakistan has no right to suggest that terrorism is the way forward. Islamic nations must not be permitted to threaten other nations just because of the contents of a sodding book. In this respect, it is most objectionable for a so-called civilised society to behave in this manner. The religion of Islam must understand that in a civilised society, we have mud-slinging contents, we hurl abuse at each other, we even go to war against each other, but at the end of the proverbial day, we are friends again, not sworn enemies.

Do you see Christians having tantrums and threatening terrorism and violence because of the contents of a book that is presumed to attack their religion? NO Do you see Jews having tantrums and threatening terrorism and violence because of the contents of a book that is presumed to attack their religion? NO Do you see Hindu's having tantrums and threatening terrorism and violence because of the contents of a book that is presumed to attack their religion? NO Do you see Muslims having tantrums and threatening terrorism and violence because of the contents of a book that is presumed to attack their religion? YES It is high time that the Islamic religion showed to the world how kind and gentle and peaceful it can be, and this should be NOT just a token gesture.

But Richard, it's not a religion of tolerance - it's a religion of oppression. It oppresses women, freedom and freedom of opinion. Don't buy this B.S. about how the West is persecuting them either. They did a fine job of slaughtering Hindus and trying to invade and conquer Europe - thank god for Charles Martel or you'd most likely be living in an Islamic theocracy. They also invaded the Middle East, so any criticism of the West is particularly ironic. This nonsense about how the West is subjugating them is just propaganda to deflect discussion about their own inherent problems. All you have to do is look at the infighting in Palestine and other countries to see how internally divided they are. Notice too how one side embraces Jihad and suicide bombings and yet the other, supposedly "moderate", population doesn't say a peep. Their silence is an endorsement of violence. Just look at Adnan, you make a criticism of his religion and he goes on the attack suggesting that somehow you shouldn't be entitled to your opinion. It's aggression. It's all about using aggression to spread their religion (with force) until the entire world is an Islamic theocracy. That's what both the supposed "moderates" and extremists want. Why do you think one doesn't criticise the other? It's their ultimate goal.

Religion is supposed to comfort people. Not to frighten them out of their skins. This Islam seems to me that it is a very insecure religion insofar that it ever wants to hold onto the skirt/shirt-tails of its parents in case it finds itself alone and all afraid of the dark. Then it has a tantrum when nobody understands it or gives it the attention it wants - just like a toddler. But toddlers grow up, their perceptions of the world increase, they become more tolerant, and eventually they become a very worthwhile member of society. Perhaps Islam should try growing-up. It might like what it finds should it grow-up.

Ignorance is bliss but too much ignorance is a CURSE. you asked about christians and jews, i say two things, BIBLE AND TELMUD. your fanatic bush is a chiristian extreemist and killed thousands of muslims in name of bible. same with israeli jews. Hindus have been doing same with muslims for decades, bombay riots, gujrat riots are just two examples. So better don't assume that you are the only friggin soul on this earth and others are just hibernating somewhere. The world is not what you want others to see. The real world is very different than your imaginary world. so keep babling about your anti Islam rants ,it doesn't matter at all. I rather enjoy when I see non muslim fanatics babling all the time against Islam. Thts all you guys cna do,nothing else :-)

Adnan, I do not know you, consequently, it is not possible for me to criticise you personally. Any of my observations or comments regarding the religion of Islam is not personally directed at you. Equally, any observations or comments regarding Christianity or the Jewish religions (and I have also done so) is not personally directed at any one person. Have a pleasant day, please don't take my observations or comments as a personal attack upon you, because their not.

Have a pleasant day, please don't take my observations or comments as a personal attack upon you, because their not.

when did I say you made personal attacks? however, I want to tell you one thing today. Muslims unlike followers of other religions consider religion more dearer than anyone else includnig parents. Being a muslim, Allah and His Prophet Muhammad(saw) is more dearer to me than anyone else. If one doesnt have such faith, he's not muslim. So by criticising(negative and baseless crticism) Islam, you are criticising me. for us, Islam is not a sunday religion like Christianity. Its rather way of leading life, minute by minute, second by second
