Just wanted to recommend this CD - "The Binary Universe" by BT. Has anyone else picked this up? Incredible. It's an ambient electronic CD, but is much deeper/emotional than those typically are. I'd recommend it to anyone with an open mind to music, and would probably compare it to Eno, Future Sound of London, or The Orb, but more structured and complex.

Is it recent? How does it compare to BT's 'ESCM' album from 97? Love that album but not really heard any of his releases since then..

I've only heard a few songs off ESCM, but if I recall that's more progressive trance/house. His more recent 2 CDs are closer to pop/electronica with guest vocalists and some rapping even. This album however would probably be closer to a movie soundtrack than either of those. He still uses his signature stutters and all, but large portions of The Binary Universe don't even have a proper drum track, more like clicks and whirs or implied beats from the melody. If that makes sense.

I picked it up a little while ago, different from his previous albums, but still very very good. I especially like listening to the surround mixes on the DVD.
