Design Help for a Project

Hello All Now a days how do you design help for a project? There used to be a .chm format which i think is not supported on vista Then does that leaves with designing web pages only? Or is there any other universal option (ie working on all windows OS) Is there any software to design Help? Regards
Every chm file that I've tried on Vista seems to open up OK. Why do you think they don't?

It's the older .hlp format that is not supported on vista, althogh you can download a small tool from Microsoft to view them. Vista supports .chm files out of the box. regards,

I have never created a .CHM file, but I sure do know the first step[^] for creating a .CHM file.

Download Microsoft's Html Help Workshop. Then its just of matter of creating html files for each page, organizing them under the correct topics, and compiling.
