When the Internet connection drops, I get a 'Can not find server or DNS error' page. But when I refresh the URL after getting the connection back, the page is displayed but the title bar still clings to 'Can not find server or DNS error'. Isn't it bit awkward? I haven't tried IE 7 (Tabbed Browsing) yet and this error occurs in IE 6 and I guess it should be cascading downward too.

Why on earth are you still using IE6, if I can ask?

If you truly believe you need to pick a mobile phone that "says something" about your personality, don't bother. You don't have a personality. A mental illness, maybe - but not a personality. - Charlie Brooker My Blog - My Photos - ScrewTurn Wiki

Its the Windows DNS cache, not IE6 or 7 or whatever.

You really sohuld update :omg: The only two reasons I can think of why you wouldn't is if: 1. You have an irrational fear of change. 2. You have a non geniuine copy of windows.

                4. Business requirements. A lot of Chennai retail vendors and supermarket stores still cling to Windows 98/Windows ME. If the customer says 1+2 is 4, we have to accept it, at least in this part of the world. :-D

Long-standing bug. I reported it in the IE 7 CTP/Beta cycle, and it got closed as 'not reproducible'. I still see it occasionally in IE 7.
