Chris Maunder wrote: All I remember of Cinderalla was very, very bad hair and very tight leather pants. *shudder* That was the first album. They went all rootsy after that. They even had Little Richard join them on a song. In any case, are you saying that that does not apply to the other bands I listed ? Chris Maunder wrote: Ever listen to any Ratt? You mean songs like 'Lack of Communication', 'Lay It Down', 'Shame, Shame, Shame', and 'Way Cool Jr.' ? I could list 80's bands all day, I just stopped once the gist was apparent, but Ratt would have most certianly made my list had I made it just a teensy bit bigger..... Right now I am listening to Kevin Bloody Wilson. :-D (The Aussies are beauts at this kind of thing I tell you) I hope this specification I am writing turns out ok with music like this playing... ;) Otherwise I listen to everything from Rammstein to Moby to Rachmaninov to Seal to U2. Probably best to say what I don't listen to: RAP, R&B and Hip Hop. regards, Paul Watson Bluegrass Cape Town, South Africa The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love, and to be loved in return - Moulin Rouge Tim Smith wrote: Over here in the third world of humor (a.k.a. When you code? Currently on my playlist:

                    • Front Line Assembly (both pre- and post-[FLA]vour of the weak)
                    • Funker Vogt
                    • Battery (some tribute to Rammstein. This tribute is a f*cking insult! Don't buy this!)
                    • Jean Michel Jarre
                    • Front 242 (from U-men to Animal)
                    • John Williams (Star Wars :)
                    • Rammstein

As some of you may notice, I like machine generated music - no banjo music here ;) Sonorked as well: 100.13197 jorgen FreeBSD is sexy.

It's a strange coincedence that I changed my sig to FLA lyrics a couple hours ago. I'm always a bit shocked by mentions of industrial bands. They aren't very popular in Canada. Many of our good bands are actually more popular in Europe than at home. My personal taste runs from old (70s, early 80s) reggae (Black Uhuru, Melody Makers, Augustus Pablo), 80s music (The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Smiths) to Industrial and Electronic (Covenant, FLA, 242, Funker Vogt, KMFDM). When you code? Currently on my playlist:

                                      • Front Line Assembly (both pre- and post-[FLA]vour of the weak)
                                      • Funker Vogt
                                      • Battery (some tribute to Rammstein. This tribute is a f*cking insult! Don't buy this!)
                                      • Jean Michel Jarre
                                      • Front 242 (from U-men to Animal)
                                      • John Williams (Star Wars :)
                                      • Rammstein

As some of you may notice, I like machine generated music - no banjo music here ;) Sonorked as well: 100.13197 jorgen FreeBSD is sexy.

I don't listen to songs when I code, but Smitha listens to Malayalam songs :-) Oh, actually I do listen to her relentless chatter when I code. I've learned to shut off my ears and at the same time manage to give an "eh" or a "aha" or a "go on" once in a while so she thinks I am listening to her :-) Nish
