How to Animate a Series of Photos
-
I have a series of photos, JPEG's taken with my phone, that I want to use as an animation. Could someone advise on a small, free application I can use to do this. I would also then like to scale down the animation and use it in an animated GIF.

You can try out Irfanview -- http://www.irfanview.com/[^]. This converts JPG to GIF in batch. It is a little freeware and is excellent tool. Regarding Animation, I think Irfanview can make an EXE for you using the JPGs. Is that what you are looking at? I also have a short review of Irfanview here in case you are interested: http://lavanyadeepak.blogspot.com/2007/04/short-review-on-irfanview.html[^]

So, you want to turn them into gifs and create an animated gif ? A gif is only 256 color, are the images conducive to that ?

A freeware prog to create an AVI file is JPGVideo from http://ndrw.co.uk/ it is one of mine. Plus on the site is my shareware version of it, JPGAvi. The freeware one should be adequate.
