Transformers!

If you have not seen it yet, I highly recommend the new Transformers movie[^]. Well, at least IMHO, I thought it was a good one. Will be seeing it again and bringing my daughter this time (who has recently become fascinated with the recent
Transformers: Cybertron
series). Decent action sequences and an OK story line. Not a lot of back-story, but what do you expect for a first release? :) Peace!-=- James

The site and trailers are dark - as in reduced light. But the movie is not all death and destruction. In fact, there I do not recall any explicit or graphic human deaths... I have heard from a few parents that have already brought their kids (5+), and they all seemed to like it (and no nightmares! :)), so I am confident that my daughter can handle it. Lord knows she has been bugging me about seeing it enough... Peace!

Well, contrast that to my 16 year old that doesn't even know about the movie, probably because we don't have a TV to see the ads. It's a lifestyle choice, but it's one I'm very glad I made. :) Marc

To each his own... (And no, my daughter or son do not have their own TVs... :)) Seriously - does not even know about the movie? Friends, radio, billboards, Internet... They are all sources where one can at the very least "hear about the movie." :) Peace!

Be sure to hang around when the credits start rolling - there is a CODA involving a few scenes, one that lends it self to future movies. And given that the main actor (Shia LaBeouf) has signed on for up to three movies, I hope more are coming! Peace!

See DeleteFXPFilesI saw it on Tuesday, it is a great movie, I highly recommend it as well. Lots of humor and action. The best part, if you watched the original cartoon from the 80s, they brought back Peter Cullen to do the voice of Optimus Prime, he was the original voice for OP in the cartoon as well. There were a few cheesy moments and the logic for some of the computer stuff was kind of a stretch, but its not to much to get past if you consider it is a movie about alient robot lifeforms from a distant galaxy coming to earth. I will go see it again

Actually (I just asked him), he does, because he spent 2 weeks in San Diego a couple weeks ago and says the ads were all over. Here in the boonies, there are no billboards. Marc

I would be in favor of a "Beast Wars movie" -a future morphed version of Transformwers. I like the CG graphics on that. Perhaps I have an animalistic conception of the movie

Nothing graphic no... but I seem to recall one person getting spiked in his torso for a split second before a cut. A five year old could potentially be sensitive to that kind of thing. But you're right, not a single drop of blood - very toned down. Imagine if Tarantino directed it
