Can someone block this guy?

Let me get this straight. Rex aka code_frog petitions Code Project members for money. Someone challenges his story. The solution is to censor the challenger. This is bullshit, especially since Rex answered the charges in a cogent matter. I am seriously considering ceasing my association with this web site.

I hear you on that. I tend to ignore it and continue on with stride.

My thinking is that the "Report as Spam or Abuse" option maybe harmful to the forums. A lot of messages are getting removed. While many of them are annoying, the number of removed messages seems excessive in my opinion. It's possible that if this option wasn't available and that the original post did not get deleted, the discussion would have been contained to one thread. However, after the initial post was removed, the poster's behavior was abusive to the Lounge, and I have no qualms with their posts being removed and their account cancelled.

Blocking his IP wouldn't be a bad idea... his user name, forcing a blackout at his house...

This is indeed bad as voting is already handicapped in Shared Internet environments.

Yesterday a guy started attacking Rex (code-frog), but when his posts were voted down, he flooded the lounge posting at least 50 times the same message. He used several user names, and they all have been deleted since.

Sorry, but I felt pretty offended by the statemnet he made. Such generalizations of judgement are only a sign of a judgemental and narrow mind.
