Could it be that the built-in firewall of Vista interfers with ZoneAlarm? It's usually a Bad Idea (yes, with capital 'B' and 'I') to have more than one firewall or virus scanner running in parallel.

          >>Could it be that the built-in firewall of Vista interfers with ZoneAlarm? Maybe. I dont have that much idea about Vista. Does Vista has build-in firewall? No need to install ZoneAlarm on Vista??? >>what does the ZoneAlarm web and support say about it being supported on Vista ? they said that ZA support on Vista.. but I kept on getting errs while installing.

Is it a Windows Vista beta version? I know that there is a beta version for the commercial version for Windows Vista currently.. Also are you using the 32-bit or 64-bit version of Vista? --PerspX

Thanks. PerspX. My Windows Vista is not a beta one. This OS is already installed when I bought a laptop last month. This is my fist time to start using Windows Vista (Home Premium.). Normally, I used to install the free version of ZoneAlarm on my Windows XP Professional. It was working fine. I'm thinking to use ZA on Vista but I can't make it work.

Try disabling the windows firewall, go to: Control Panel : Security : Turn Windows Firewall Off

I meant is the Zone Alarm Vista edition that you are using a beta version? What happens when you try to install it? --PerspX
