So I decided to install the latest version of Shog's and David's CPhog. I've checked for updates for FF (none were available), then I installed the Greasemonkey 0.7 candidate and finally the CPhog script. But it isn't working. The monkey is in the bar and CPhog is active, but I can't get juice. Am I missing something or is there something I'm not aware of?

I had the same problem. Then, I looked at the Error Console and noticed some error when reading/processing your preferences. I solved it by uninstalling CPHog and checking the "__Also uninstall associated preferences". After this, restart your browser and then reinstall CPHog.

I see dead pixels Yes, even I am blogging now!

I don't get a "Also uninstall associated preferences". Does that pop up for you when uninstalling or is it an option somewhere?

It's on my Greasemonkey "Manage User Scripts" dialog box. Something like this[^].

Aha, got it. I was stupidly uninstalling Greasemonkey instead of the CPhog scripts. Thanks a bunch. I'm back in action. Aparently, once you go CPhog, you can never go back. :)

Talking about the new CPHog, what are the "update" arrows for that appear near each thread title ? Should it update the thread automatically when I/someone posts an answer ?

There's a problem with the preferences migration logic that didn't get worked out during testing; i'll have to look into fixing or disabling it when i get some time, but 'till then Daniel's suggestion is probably the way to go.

Hey, I've never said anything about roast chicken! :-D But you might have just discovered a bug. The tooltip says "Quick refresh thread" but I haven't tested it yet.

Can't you disable this after enabling it? Clicking on an active one doesn't appear to turn it off.

I had another machine with this problem that wasn't solved with the first solution. I found that deleting (or renaming) the file %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.x5o\webappsstore.sqlite solved my problem.

This does not seem to work for me, strangely enough. It _never_ updates. And I have been sitting in front of it for the last hour (well, almost. Say 5 minutes.). BTW, in this post[^] Mircea complains about my quote. When I post an answer to someone in which I quote some text, when I answer to any other thread, the quote is still there. So if I forget to remove it, I get wrong quotes in my message. Is this a feature or just me not knowing how to quote properly ?

I've tried both Daniel's suggestions and cphog ain't loading. I'll have to muck around sometime. But the thing is I was happily using the old one - it worked. I didn't want to upgrade but the big green reminder kinda coerced me. So what would have been perfect was a "Dismiss" button that doesn't remind me again. I'm having to make this post from the regular CP reply form :sigh: .. seems the power of a drug can be measured by it's effect of not having it
