I didn't really care for it, but it wakes me up. I have had 3 cups, and my heart is racing, and I'm starting to sweat. :omg:

Once I'm up and about I'm awake fairly quickly, in fact the only thing I've found so far, which really tires me out is driving long distance in the Suzuki in the rain.  I say Suzuki because the other car I drive (on road anyway) is a Shogun with cruise control and that is simply fantastic.  I've even finished a journey in that feeling more refreshed than when I started it

I have recently began my first job as CE 6.0 R&D, and development for such system. We start at 7:00 AM, which is much earlier than I am used to getting up. So, as others in the office have suggested, I have began making use of the never never ending amount of coffee here. I have drank about 3 cups of coffee, at about 12 ounces a cup. How much coffee do the CPians drink on a given day?

Hmmmph... Heck of a question on a Monday... Lemme see, I start with a pot to get my heart started and my brain functioning well enough to find the shower. Once I get to work I fill up my 14oz mug and attempt to locate my desk under all the phone messages and notes from last week. During the day I refill the mug 9 to 12 times, depending on the number of meetings scheduled for the day. In between coffees, and especially if I'm in the field at 120°F, I guzzle water throughout the day and evening. By 9PM I'm ready for a scotch or three, with a pitcher of beer or two for a nightcap. I doubt there's much caffeine in those last items, so I fall fast asleep without difficulty.:-D Don't worry; as you gain experience your caffeine tolerance, along with bladder capacity, will grow. It has to, because the winner in any meeting is the one with the highest caffeine resistance and bladder capacity. Being the last one to have to leave the room gives you a real bargaining chip.

        0. I've never liked coffee. I used to drink exorbitant amounts of Mountain Dew (lots of caffeine there), but I've since given that up. So, no caffeine in the morning for me no matter how early. Now if you'll pardon me, I'm going to take a nap on my desk. ;)

3-4 cups of lattes made from my own roasted decaf espresso beans. So the equivalent caffeine of about 1 normal cup of coffee spread throughout the day. I used to be a hard core caffeine drinker but it's really just a vicious cycle that doesn't in the end give you any more alertness. You become dependant on it and the drop off in alertness when it wears our forces you to have another to the point that you are stuck on a cycle of *having* to drink it. Getting lot's of sleep and excercise and eating small portions regularly throughout the day is far more useful for being alert (and calm) throughout the day.

I'm not bashful on this subject. I have Central Sleep Apnea so I don't get the best sleep. I usually wake up feeling like I've got a wad of cotton lodged in my brain that's slowing everything down. I have 300 Mg's of caffeine using a product called SPARK by Advocare that I buy off Ebay. I have it once a day and that's it. It's been a faithful friend since 2004 and my sleep apnea physician said it's a better choice than the medication she could prescribe for $11 a pill that I'd pay for out of pocket. She thinks caffeine is just fine so long as it works. Nice!!!

Zero cups of coffee (I can't stand the stuff). Of other caffeinated drinks I drink the equivalent of a half cup per day.

Yeah, but there's a big difference between "a scotch or three" and a cup... If I could drink scotch by the cupful, I'd berate myself too. ;)

Everyone that knows me considers me a caffeine addict. I never turn down the opportunity and always have a cup nearby. The morning is certainly the highest consumption period, but that 3:00-4:00 pm lull also cries out for a pick-me-up -- along with some carbs to get the blood sugar up. When I work at home in the evening I need a cup nearby for psychological purposes only. But... I can quit any time I want! :)

                                    None.

1 10 ounce cup with breakfast 2 to 3 10 ounce cups before lunch 2 to 3 10 ounce cups after lunch 1 10 ounce cup after supper So... anywhere from 6 to 8 cups per day; in the morning, it is generally regular, in the afternoon, whatever is available regular or decaf. On the weekend, usually about 6 per day - all regular It has not affected my sleep in the last 20 years; if it does, I will switch to decaf at night. Tim

Zero cups of coffee (I can't stand the stuff). Of other caffeinated drinks I drink the equivalent of a half cup per day.
