Bug recording system

I found the big problem with this one was that the more defects I had to deal with, the less visibility I had (with them covering the monitor).

May be immune to system failure, but i'm not sure my desk could take the weight :)

Folks, We're currently looking at buying a bug recording system to replace our slightly creaky old in house system. We're looking at a few, particularly Axosoft OnTime and JIRA. Has anyone any good/bad experiences with these?
we use BugZilla and we are pretty much satisfied with it. Plus, its is open source and hence, its free.

I'd go along with that. One of our projects uses Bugzilla and it's great you can modify to do any thing you want and its never gone wrong for us. The other project uses CVS track. That's crap, it doesn't even email a developer when a bug is assigned to them

D'ye know, i can't even remember. It's been a commitee based decision and it's taken a wee while...
Ah - design by committee. That's always fun.:-D

Yeah, i quite like it, it seems to be pretty simple (much like myself).
We use JIRA extensively, BUT, we have seen some serious issues arise when we need to move JIRA projects around or get rid of them. Basically, it is (at least in our version) impossible to export a single project intact and then reload it elsewhere. This problem has not plagued us as yet but I am worried we will need to do this and find it impossible. Others have already encountered the problem. That being said, JIRA works great and is real robust. We have been able to customize it for our needs quite readily.

We use TestTrack from http://www.seapine.com which I've used at my last few companies.
