My seven year old daughter usually goes to her grandma's house on Friday nights, and she just got home from school and she wanted to call her grandma, but I told her she needed to wait two hours. So she asked my for a piece of paper and a pencil and came back 10 minutes later and said "This is my map of what I am going to do." She handed me a state machine diagram with pictures and everything of all of the cases will happen tonight, this is what it looked like (minus the pretty pictures):

                                                Take a nap
                                                and wake up

It blew me away, I was very impressed. I asked her if they taught her that in school, and she said no. She just thought of that so she wouldn't forget what she was suuposed to do after her nap. What do you guys think?

Too bad she's not 15. :-D Just kidding man. I wouldn't want to steal your brilliant "little girl" away from you. But seriously, the diagram is awesome. Gonna teach her to be a coder? She obviously has exceptional logical abilities. You should even consider putting her in the NFL(National Forensics League, a huge debate league most high schools participate in) when she's in High School. David Stone dstone@newcenturytitle.com

It's a shame Microsoft stopped distributing simple, free programming stuff like mbasic, basica, qbasic with the OS. Although useless for production work, the various free BASICs were great learning toys for the curious. "What is it?" and he said, "I don't know. Let's kill it." - Ed Gadziemski

                                                                    Take a nap

Hey it's not lego, but LOGO ... and that reminds me that I first started programming using LOGO a long time ago ... that was soooo cool ... Max.
