I'd like to rip all my CD's onto the PC so the can be stored out of the way. Can anyone suggest a piece of software designed for creating a digital audio library?

Actually, prefer WMP 11 over anything else. WMP before 11 sucked. But they finally got it right.

I didn't get any requirements for the signature

I agree. I swore by Musicmatch Jukebox before WMP11. Now MMJB has gone over to Yahoo I won't touch it. I have this inbuilt hatred of anything with the name yahoo.

I used CDex it's pretty good if you like open source stuff.

              Personally, I like MediaMonkey.

Wouldn't that be everything else but iTunes? I hate iTunes... I think it sucks almost as bad as rhapsody.

A lot of audiophiles use the freeware EAC (Exact Audio Copy) for their ripping. If your standards are less demanding, any audio library software you use should be up to the task. I second the vote for MediaMonkey.

CDEx as above - you can change the MP3 setting to maximise quality, use FLAC or WAV if you want and it works with CDDB producing playlists Winamp can use
