JimmyRopesFunny side: - I'll bet NASA's insurance rates go up - What's the penalty for drunk piloting (depends on what country they're over) - Their personal trainer said they wanted to see them with a "six-pack" - Red button, green button, they all look the same when you're drunk - Can they run dog fights and bet on NBA games in space? Serious side: - Many other lives at stake - Hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars at stake - Future of shuttle missions, funding, and credibility at stake - So many people want to be astronauts, why not let somebody sober fly? I can't think of a time when I would want to be more sober than when going into orbit at 17,000 miles per hour (or more). Besides, I would want to remember every second of it for the rest of my life. Nevermind my crewmates that rely on my decision-making ability to stay alive.
