Sorry for the delay in the post. I took today (Friday) off because it's the first day in a week temps were not over 100 and did not have the humidity of Puerto Rico. (You know it's sad when you think 'hey! it's cooler today!' only to find out that it's still 101.) Today (Friday): Take Your Pants For a Walk Day! Yeah, not sure what diluted person thought up this one. At least it's not a national holiday. Now I'm all for No Pants Day. Saturday: National Milk Chocolate Day! If you remember, July is also National Ice Cream Month. We've also had National Strawberry Sundae Day, National Peach Ice Cream Day, National Ice Cream (no flavor) Day, and National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. I'm lacose intolerant. It's been a LOOOONG month. Sunday: Cheese Sacrifice Purchase Day! Does this mean you don't buy cheese or you buy it and sacrifice it? To whom do you sacrifice it? Do these dairy farmers actually milk their cows or are they just petitioning to get milk-laden holidays? Monday: National Cheesecake Day! My sister in law had a friend whose dad worked at a fancy-shmacy restaurant (okay that was kind of Ferris Bueller there...) and has this awesome recipie for cheesecake. I will try to round that up, but feel free to post your favorite cheesecake recipie. Tuesday: Parent's Day! You have Mother's Day. You have Father's Day. I suppose on this one you pawn the little ones with the grandparents and shag like you were in college. Just don't make more little ones. Wednesday Aug 1st: Friendship Day and National Raspberry Cream Pie Day! Just offer some pie and you will definately make friends. Although when I brought pie into work March 14 and explained that it was Pi day, they didn't seem to understand. Thursday: National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! When do I get Get Drunk and Combine Day? Or Eat Sunflower Seeds Until Your Mouth is Raw Day? So August means another round of monthly awareness crap: National Catfish Month! Best breaded with lots of lemon. National Golf Month! At least they stopped wearing those awful pants. But I still giggle when i see Titleist written on anything. National Eye Exam Month! A good reminder to those who don't wear glasses. It's still important to get yearly exams. No joke on this one. National Water Quality Month! What, am I supposed to do a home test? Do they sell something at Wal-Mart for that? Actually just saw on the news that a town was complaining about the taste of the water. Turns out it was treated wastewater that was supposed to be for hosewater only. Ick. Romance

Curious comment. Perhaps, you would like me to follow it with that the husband should buy flowers in that case, for the sake of something to look at. On a side note, I wish for noone to think that anyone looks disgusting, because the only thing I've seen of leckey is that the messages are in the same font as everyone else who posts here.

Ah...I missed that. My apologies. edit: Suppose I was bound to miss it since I'm not here all day, I don't subscribe to any forums or users, and I did have other things to be doing.

Here it's "Build a Gazebo Month". By here I mean on my property and by Month I mean that it turned out that the builder is a crafstman, not a tradesman and we had no idea it was going to take this long, but it's alright because he charges a flat rate so in the end were curtailed in our normal activity of running around the property naked in the summer which actually is a bummer now that I think about it, but on the plus side we'll have the most kick ass gazebo around and will be able to use the hot tub under any weather conditions...hmmm time for more Stowfords Cider I think. :)
