Local Theater
-
We just got back from a weekend trip to Parowan, Utah, a little north of Cedar City and the Utah Shakespearean Festival theater company. It was really nice to get a change of scene (we live in the Las Vegas area) and though we didn't catch a play this time, we had fun with the Greenshow. Anyone enjoy local theater in their area? Would you recommend yours to outside visitors?

If you count the local sightings of: --Boaters arguing with the police on illegal parking and using the excuse 'but I've always parked here before! --People who do not understand push/pull and I yell "Stay in School!" to them --More muffin tops and quarter slots than I care to count --Screaming, running Mexican children in Wal-Mart Then yes, feel free to come to my local 'theater.'

 Show me any walmart in the world without children running around screaming, Mexican or otherwise. What makes you think they are Mexicans and not Americans? I find it doubtful that Mexicans are flocking to the US to shop at Walmart.

1. They speak Spanish. 2. South Sioux City NE is mostly Mexican. (About 1/4 of the kids are learning English as a second language.) Mexican kids make up almost half of all kids (they say 'Hispanic' but it's almost all Mexican.) If you went to this Wal-Mart, it would change your mind.

I have to say I'm really jealous! I'm from Northern Arizona, originally, and I used to make the drive up there every year to see the festival. I know what you mean, too. There were many times I just stopped in to see the Greenshow (they used to have a master falconer there every year). I haven't been back in about 12 years. I wonder how much has changed?
