This Sat I've got softball practice before my men's softball team's playoff game on Monday. For Sunday, I'm not sure. Hopefully absolutely nothing but relaxing and spending time with the wife and son.

Practice--what's that? I'm thankful when 7 or 8 guys show up for our church league game so we don't have to forfeit (hopefully the other team will have enough too). Anyway, good luck in the playoffs.

It is Friday. But for the couple of weeks, either the classic Friday post does not come up or comes up only on India Saturday morning. :) My plan around the weekend this time would be a bit of drive along NH 45 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Highways_in_India#Tamil_Nadu[^]) towards visiting 'Madurantakam' (a small village where a good famous temple dedicated to Lord Rama is there). What are your weekend plans?

I am going to take a sledge hammer to the downstairs of the house.

I'm off to a juggling convention in the morning for a couple of days. Throwing things about in the day and playing poker in the evening after the grape juice starts to take effect. Hopefully by saturday lunchtime i'll have forgotten all about a thing called Vista. Maybe i'll wake up and find it's all a nightmare and that the new M$ OS is actually called debian and everything will be allright after all. Russell

Yeah, it's been like that when I play on fall leagues where everyone's goofing off. The summer league has been competitive, however. Our team won all but 1 game this year. Our last game we played the only undefeated team and kicked their butts 13-4. We're playing them Monday for the first game of the playoffs. They'll be looking for revenge, no doubt; it should be a good game.

Is that when you're running towards the house? ;P Seriously, though, try using borax[^], it's cheap and I had better luck with that than any powders or sprays designed for flea removal. I simply spread the borax throughout the house, and vaccuumed it up the next day. I repeated the process the following 2 weeks, and never saw another flea after that.

Hopefully getting rid of this stupid lingering cold. I'll going golfing tomorrow, and mostly catching up on households chores the rest of the weekend.

We have allready applied said method two times and have continuously washed the cats. One of the problems we found was the basement laundry room, turns out cats have been in the laundry and it is almost dangerous to enter the area now as you are attacked by 20-30 fleas immediately. We started last week and have been bagging all cloth materials, our plan this weekend is to totally clean the basement and borax it as well as the rest of the house again and rewashing the cats once or twice more. A difficulty is that the cats litter is in the basement so we have to move that to our guest bedroom temporarily and latch the basement so as to apply the borax treatment. It has been a nightmare... a week of boraxing, vacuming and washing cats and another weekend of doing the same... :(

Celebrating my son's first birthday, which was Wed, but we're having the party Sat. It will just be a few friends and family, but Luke will get his first taste of pie (well galette technically) and homemade ice cream. Also getting ready for testing for 1st degree brown belt. Only 6 months away from black.
