So you want to control your parents to not install any crap? Sometimes I whish I have such a software for my mother's PC, too.

Hi, Does any one here have an experience with a good parental control software, I need it to block the software that I don't want, and block the downloads from specific sites, do you recommend any one ?

How about IE's Content Advisor, or Microsoft's SteadyState product?

So let's see: 1) you don't trust your kids 2) you think your kids are too stupid to know what they should download and what they shouldn't 3) they probably are, therefore 4) and why don't they know better to begin with? Flame away, folks. But I always wonder about this stuff. If I need to install parental control software on my kid's computer, well, then, maybe he shouldn't have a computer, or he should have access only under very restricted conditions. In the end, I can't help but think it reflects on me as a parent and the values that I have (or have failed to) provide him. Yeah, I know kids are curious, etc., and I have this perfect child anyways, so what do I really know? Still... Marc

Give him a live CD of Linux, if he messes it up completely then you simply reboot.  Alternatively you could run inside VMWare...

assuming it is kids.... My ex tried to use that on me. It didn't work well. Of course the same list applies, if you don't trust your spouse (or children), spying and control are not likely to make them more inclined to appreciate the efforts of spying and control on their actions.
