well, for now i'm using Vb2005 since the language i learned in school was Vb6 but it's a lot diferent/better/easier than vb6 (at least that is my personal opinion) but whiling to learn more stuff. The thing that actualy makes me apreciate programing is the chalenge, since a small thing can become a big puzzle. I also like the way we can be creative about it.

Hello. Welcome to the Lounge. After a few more posts you should be fully addicted and soon you will feel that you actually somehow "know" the strangers who post here regularly. :)

:josh: My WPF Blog[^] Without a strive for perfection I would be terribly bored.

I've been receiving the newletter from Cp and reading some articles/discutions here for some time but quite never posted here before (not realy sure why). So i'm making this post just to make a small introdution. I'm a newbie programer, out a school a while ago and still learning many stuff every day. I also like to say that this is a great forum, full of great resources and nice people and i've learned a lot reading it already, so thanks to the comunity in general and the creators of Cp for this great resource :-D (btw, i wasn't sure if this was the right area to post this topic so please be gentel with me ^_^)

Hi :jig:, Sure are glad to see you. Once you get into some of the talks around here you will love it or hate it. or maybe you will end up trap, feeling like there is no way to escape Bob :bob:, you will feel your spine being tapped into your keyboard, your very life flowing out of you into the hamsters that keep the servers going. When you feel like trying to leave you will get the strange observation of someone watching you. at that point, stop don't move you have zoned in by Chuck's radar and any attempt to hide will be useless. um I think I have said to much. On last thing, no programming questions in the lounge. I say this for your sake not mine. :)

Welcome aboard the leaky vessel we all know and love as CP. I'm pretty new here myself although I've been a browser for years. It is both addictive and useful and there's not much else that you can say that about. You've made a good and promising start by getting your first post in the right place. Many never reach such heights :) Enjoy the learning and the passing it on.

Nothing is exactly what it seems but everything with seems can be unpicked.

Yeah, ain't that the truth. Never trust someone when they say "just a prototype". Blink, and it'll be production code.

Perhaps. I've seen (and created) many creative solutions that turn out to be monstrosities. There's nothing like boring, tried and true algorithm design for achieving success. :) Marc
