Why not? Jesus is a common name in Mexico. A surname could be anything (Bush, Wood, etc). My surname, Selormey, in my language means "God Loves Man". Best regards, Paul.

Oh geez... No one, absolutely no one, would be called Jesus freak. For a start, they would not allow it to be put on his birth certificate (you cannot call a child something offensive, for example if I was a Mr. Burner I could not call my child Nigger or Jew for [I would hope] obvious reasons). Rama's name is perfectly valid in his culture. That you can't see that, but defend someone who openly insults LOVE!, is honestly very surprising.

OK - so Kyle is the only person on the *earth* who would consider calling themselves 'jesusfreak' ? Seriously ? I didn't say it's not him, I said we can't know for sure, and I said that if we treat anyone who looks unusual like this, if we become hostile to anyone who is new and doesn't immediately fit in 100%, then surely we let him win ? Here's another question - if someone joins the site, and acts in a civil way, who cares who that person is in real life ? I don't care. So, why attack someone on a suspicion, before they have done anything to deserve it ?

On a professional Windows programming forum, pretty much yes. When a new account appears with a name like that and then proceeds to post only crap in the Lounge and Soapbox, including fine examples such as this[^], there is very little room to make a mistake. And to be honest, if you do make that mistake given they match the template, does it really matter? I do appriecate what you are saying but there are only so many times someone can call fire before this sort of thing will happen.

I still don't know why Paul thinks Ram and Krishn are bad names. If Jesus and Mary are acceptable names in Christian culture and Mohammad and Aisha in Islamic culture, why should Hindus not call their kids Rama? Not to mention the hypocrisy:

I was complaining about the word "freak" in his name which followed Jesus. Do you think anyone will name himself freak. Besides knowing Kyle for so long he is not a Jesus lover, he picked up the name purposefully. His previous names were like "Allah on Acid", "VBListCtrl" and many more.

Paul, not sure if you've been watching, but there's a certain troll here who likes to create "personalities" mocking the beliefs of others - especially followers of Christ. Don't get drawn into his game. As for Rama, it's the name that was given to him - i understand it has some history in the Hindu religion, but am not aware of the details.

back to the original reference to Jesus, yes, and many would brag about it proudly, and loudly. But that is not a discussion for the lounge. Yes they would come here, if they knew of the place, yes they make Paul Selormey look like a heathen by comparison.

Yeah. Another was something like JohanahThompson and was also pretendng to be obsessively religious. And i'm pretty sure he's had a female version of his "Aharon" handle that's also been deleted. He's went thru at least 12 this year. Some names aren't even used outside the Soapbox and get deleted there, like "HeWhoShallNotBeNamed". Roswell

                                      Are you?

Paul, not sure if you've been watching, but there's a certain troll here who likes to create "personalities" mocking the beliefs of others - especially followers of Christ. Don't get drawn into his game. As for Rama, it's the name that was given to him - i understand it has some history in the Hindu religion, but am not aware of the details.

Rama was a warrior prince and later king, identified by many as the ideal husband and ruler. Krishna was a prince as well. Both are considered to be avatars of Vishnu. I'm sure there's more info on Wikipedia. I'm surprised the LOVE!ing Paul makes such comments. :| Maybe he considers them false gods or demons or something. Never seen a bigger bigot preaching LOVE! X|

                                        Cheers, Vıkram.
