Lovely place to visit, we've been many times and god knows why but we visit the dry docks every time. Last time we visited the area, we drove up the coast visiting all the WW2 landing sites, many of which are in Normandy. My parents enjoy france alot, and rather then staying in a holiday park, they rent Gité's out and stick to the local stuff. We were in Epernay (champagne region) last time, but unfortunately I ended up with phneumonia (sp) and had to stay in hospital for a week. Luckily, the french health care is better then the UK's NHS, possibly because its private.

Even though it rained, we sat on beach at Arromanches and dug sand castles with the kids. Great fun. -- modified at 7:25 Tuesday 28th August, 2007 OK - reading that sentence, it made it sound as though we used the kids as spades. We didn't obviously.

Well, we're back from a weeks holiday in Normandy. Even though the weather was lousy, the holiday was fantastic. If you've not been to Normandy, I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Nope - back home it was lovely weather (and I live in the North East of England).

We call it the green Normandy, so you can imagine how is generally the weather there I recommend also, well, all the other regions :-D We are lucky to live in a country with a lot of diversity.

I feel your pain, occasionally I'm amazed floodings are still more or less few here... (with all our urbanization around here)

And alsoo dug sand castels whit the kids. :) Maybe thats the secret ingredient too a 'perfect' holiday. Digging sandcastels ;P
