Tell him gardening is far more fun, than learning computer languages.

The question lacks context. What technologies does his work already use? That is more likely to be an indication of what language he should learn.

Did you mean MCSD? The answer is VB.NET or C#

Well - if he's trying to get an MCSD then he really doesn't want to go the Linux route. If he's trying to learn a language for work then he really should learn whatever language they are using. It's pointless learning Assembly for instance if the company is churning out web applications.

I fondly recall this Tamil Song ("Mannil Indha") where the singer-cum-actor (S. P. Balasubramanyam) sings two long paragraphs in just one breath. A quick search got me this URL from YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5EAlr_W2yg[^]

Me too. Though I don't have a bigger garden to play around, being in a concrete jungle of apartments, the little Tulasi plant (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ocimum_tenuiflorum[^]) helps you breathe fresh air.

I don't know, I have herded cattle and it has it's own arts, such as-running or climbing fast when the bull doesn't want to be herded- keeping 20 cows (trying to go in 30 directions) going where you want them to- living through the smell. X|
