I know Jorgen likes his Audis and AFAIR there are a few others here too. To be honest I've liked them but not loved them. That is until the Audi A5 showed up. For the first time I've thought "Now that, that I would buy"[^]. And apparently it is good to drive too. Up there with BMW.

I've never been keen on Audi or VW - bit pricey when you consider that the equivalent SEAT will probably be as well built and perform as well - you'll be missing out on ambience, I guess. Having said that, I drive a Vauxhall Astra[^], so that probably makes me an uncouth yob whose opinion should be discounted :-)

Probably my favourite Honda. When the current generation first came out I was smitten, great design. Sadly I see the 2008 model is a bit fugly.

Similar thing happened with the Civic Type-R - I had the previous shape CTR, which looked pretty good (in my biased opinion). The current one looks the same as the standard Civic, which (again, IMBO) looks a bit poo...

From what I understand, Bugatti only nominally sells you the car. They store and maintain it for you, and you call them up when you'd like to drive it. They have a group of tracks where it can be driven, and will transport the car there for you. They don't recommend driving it on the street.

Nah - that's the Ferrari FXX[^] - the Veyron was designed to be as easy to drive as possible, allowing reasonably normal usage.

hehe, my SO is considering an Astra. I think the styling, especially around the rear, is a bit busy but it is still a good looking car. Love the panoramic roof.

The A5 is IMO the uglier of the Audis. I've been studying the S5 from top to bottom, and every detail up front. The interior is rock solid. It's too irregularly bulgy - that's the best explanation I can come up with. Something in the back of my brain is telling me that the asymmetry is broken in some way. The R8 on the other hand... As for the "regular" Audis, I really like the A6. I love all the details of it (assuming it's got the S-line kit - the regular look doesn't cut it). The tail lights of the A6 is one detail which has really caught my eyes. The way it lights up in the dark is just bloody amazing. On the same note, I will admit that the front lights on the A5 and R8 are equally good looking. Have you seen photos of the R8 light up in the dark? Whoa... For the time being, I'm very content with my A4. I didn't want to spend the extra €10000 to get an equivalent A6 (in terms of equipment). Maybe next time around. :) ps. The local car Audi reseller has bought an S5 to use as demo car. The owner of the company uses it as day-to-day vehicle, and parks it close to a grocery shop where I shop often. It would seem that Audi does not put intelligence requirements on their resellers, because the interior/exterior color combination they ordered for that S5 should be enough to lose their reseller status. ds. pps. The sound of the S5's V8 is... enough to make me wet my pants. :-D dds.

Exactly, broken for the better. The new A4 has some A5 styling in it, thank god.

Good grief - you'd think Audi could afford a web developer who could load the swap images in without having to postback to the server each time!!!! Anyone from Audi listening..? I can do it... ! :-)

That is Autoblog. At the same time I dislike car websites that don't provide permalinks to photos. You see a nice angle on a car but can't get the URL for that page because of some stupid JS gallery.

I never thought I would die to the hands of a Irish man.(guessing at the Irish) Oh, the pain and more over the humiliation, an Irish

Well. Consider yourself redeemed. I am a South African. :)

It is, if I do say so myself. Just don't try and drive a pickup like that there. You won't be popular.
