What is your favorite bug tracking software?

The company I am working for is looking to upgrade or change their existing bug tracking software. They've been using the same tool for quite a few years now and are not sure if they ought to stick with what they have and just upgrade, or if there are better tools out there for similar cost. So I ask you guys, what is your favorite bug tracking software for a professional product? If you want, please also describe the key selling features you like that make it better than the others, or why you like it most. We are currently using: MERANT PVCS TRACKER Version 7.0.15 ( http://www.merant.com/pvcs/ ) Thanks for the information in advance! : Dean 'Karnatos' Michaud

anyone ever used Rational's ClearDDTS? They renamed it as ClearQuest. Wow, it's a nightmare for the system admin to support multi-site. :wtf: :omg: :wtf:
Rational - they in Ottawa? Multi-site is not an issue for us, aside from multi-site issues is it any good? : Dean 'Karnatos' Michaud

they are in Ottawa? I don't know. I know they have branches in Kanata and Toronto. Well, I think the ClearQuest is very professional. If you use it properly, you can combine it together with configuration management. That'll be very confirmative in asserting software practice.

If I could get Bugzilla to work under W2K, I'd use it. But all my efforts at getting it to run in IIS and hit SQL Server (or even lamey Access!) have been unsuccessful. Bugzilla (once you change the default look, which seems kinda ugly) absolutely rocks. And it's free. You could always get a dedicated Linux box, of course :) ___________ Klaus [vbbox.com]

:-D Don't use any.. don't write enough s/w at the moment to worry about bug-tracking
