I like these baseless estimations... it reminds me the ones about the cost of 'piracy' . What is the rise of productivity when somebody can make a break from time to time? when somebody is satisfied by his/her work environment? What is the loss when somebody feel harassed?

How much do you suppose it costs firms that have completely unmotivated employees? Believe it or not humans are not machines, you can't just turn them on for 8-9 hours straight and expect them to work full speed.

These kinds of estimates are pure, military grade bullonium. [/Futurama] They assume that the alternative is that the employees are working instead of spending time on websites, which is so incredibly naive I just want to laugh at the study writers until their heads fall off. If they weren't on Facebook, they'd be somewhere else. If there were no internet, they'd be talking at the water cooler. If they had a slavedriver, they'd sit at their desk looking bored, not doing anything. But the point is, there simply WILL be times your employees aren't doing anything because as
Matt Newman
notes, humans are not machines. -
