Arcade

To someone that actually knows about (and participates in) arcade collecting, that is pretty damn impressive. Ignoring the interesting dedicated-arcade-looking space, there are a tremendous amount of classic and otherwise hard-to-find games there, in original(!) cabinets, and in good condition. Having an original Scramble, Space Zap, Wizard of Wor, and Circus (Clowns), is a feat in itself. A Defender, Joust and Moon Patrol with control panels that have no burns on them is really nice. The collection is rounded out by other classics like Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Sea Wolf, Space Invaders and Frogger. An I, Robot, first "real" 3D game (first to dynamically(?) render polygons), is a nice piece of history. The fact that most of them are still in working condition is also pretty damn impressive, especially the ones that are known to be problematic and/or have hard-to-find replacements parts like Tempest, Star Wars, Baby Pac-Man, and Dragon's Lair. It is also the largest collection of working B&W vector games that I have seen in a single place! Cinematronics classics like: Omega Race, Rip Off, Star Castle, Armor Attack, Space War; Exidy's Tail Gunner 2, Atari's Lunar Lander (with the original control panel with throttle control and older flat/vertical-shute style coin door, Battlezone (

of 'em), Asteroids and Asteroids Delux; there is even a Pong! He even has a Sprint 2 (B&W raster 2-player driving game), which means even more to me because I recently obtained and repaired one (simple fix), and an environmental Discs of Tron, which is one of the ones my wish list.Truly impressive...!

If you think it costs a lot to do it right, just wait until you find out how much it costs to do it wrong!
Avoid driving a vehicle taller than you and remember that Professional Driver on Closed Course does not mean your Dumb Ass on a Public Road!

I'm jealous, being a total geek, I have only 1 machine, needless to say I'm working on the wife to convert the garage into a small games room, nothing the scale of this guy.
If you're struggling developing software, then I'd recommend gardening.
You shouldn't have time now that you're on a posting roll.

I've just having own of the guys in our manufacturing plant program a router so I can cut a rounded rectangle in a piece of MDF for my coin box. I got an old arcade cabinet free from a guy I know and the obosession has started to rebuild it as a Mame Cabinet. With a WPF game selection.

Pong, circa 1972 - worth a $$$

A lot of those games are worth a bunch. Games like Pac-Man are always in demand (as the amount of bootleg JAMMA Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man/Multipac boards indicates). The
EDoT
is worth a pretty penny as well, as is the Star Wars and Tempest, especially with the cabinets, controls and monitors(!) in good condition. Lotsa good stuff there... Much better than my meager collection of a few cabinets and a buncha boards! Peace!-=- James

See DeleteFXPFilesHe does appear to have mastered the art of levitation: "I would hover inverted a few inches above the grass, fly backwards, etc,"

If you like classic arcade games, you need to go see King of Kong. Its out as a limited showing right now, but I think they are going to send it out to more cities soon. Here is the site: http://www.billyvssteve.com/ You will come out of this movie feeling more "normal" then you ever have :)
