Hy Can anybody tell me about an CVS alternative integrate with .NET VS 2005 and free. thx
I hear good things about SubVersion. And there's a cheap commercial product Visual SVN that does Studio 2003 & 2005 integration. I haven't used it yet, but I hear nothing but good things about it.

Subversion is great. Haven't tried the Visual SVN though. But it supports checking in/out, reverting, branching, revision history etc etc. But I never felt like I needed it integrated in VS .NET anyhow. -Larantz-

If you're interested in SVN... SVN[^] Tortoise SVN[^] integrates it with Windows Explorer. Visual SVN[^] for Studio integration. It may have a standalone GUI too, I don't know for sure.

AnkhSVN plugs into Visual Studio. Its a little buggy, but its free.

Hi, CVS SCC proxy is a SCC API plug-in which provides access from all Microsoft SCC enabled software to general CVS repositories. The Microsoft SCC API is supported by: MS VC 5.0-7.0, MS VB 5.0-7.0, MS .NET, MS FrontPage, MS DEV and other Microsoft development tools. You can use the PUSHOK's CVS SCC proxy, configure it and developers can access CVS right from the Microsoft IDEs like SQL Server 2005 Management Studio, Visual Studio 2005, etc. Mail me for a detailed document, which I have compiled for the procedure.
