If you're struggling developing software, then I'd recommend gardening.
winrar says for 45 days, however ive been using my copy for something along the lines of 4 years. after the 45 days it just annoys you with register now at start up...

What are you suggesting? That he write a utility to do this? That borders on lunacy! That would take one to two hours! Posting the question here, sifting through the answers, downloading some of the suggestions, installing them, fiddling around with them trying to make them do what he wants.... That could be the better part of a day spent doing that! I just don't think there's any place for self reliance in today's world. BDF

I last wrote one about 9 years ago... i can try to dig up the code if you like. GCC on DOS ok? ;P Actually, you might as well download coreutils from Cygwin and just use
split
