Maintain Session Across Multiple Domains

Hey Guys Any idea how to maintain session for multiple domains ???? This technology is used in .Net Passport. Furthermore if you are signed in to Google Account then you can use all the services by Google although these services reside on different server as well as different domain... So please tell me from where to start.....!

May i know one thing , My question is based on passport authentication in vb.net.Ur question is related to my poblem , that;a y i am asking this question in u thread.hope u will not mind. i was accessing the msn messenger.there i saw that while subscribing for the account , we can suscibe there if we have an account in yahoo or we have an account in rediff to access our mails. now question is msn messenger uses the yahoo or rediff, gmail database ? otherwise how do it check whether that mail address is genuine or not? and one moe thing if i have to implement the passwport authentication , then can u suggest me any link , which is having the code . Thanks in Advance.
